Member Scorecard

The Member Scorecard is an excellent tool for measuring member satisfaction at credit unions. Member satisfaction is measured by placing a Member Scorecard insert into members monthly or quarterly statements. The insert allows members to give a grade on 22 service attributes. By placing the insert into at least 10,000 member statements, sufficient inserts should be returned to provide highly reliable statistical data. For example, placing 10,000 inserts into statements should result in 150 to 200 completed inserts being returned for tabulation and analysis. In addition to grading the 22 service related attributes, members are also encouraged to write any comments they wish to bring to management's attention.

Along with providing credit unions with valuable and statistically reliable data concerning member satisfaction, the Member ScoreCard program cost much less than other member satisfaction survey methods. In fact, the cost for the Member ScoreCard member satisfaction program can be less than 50% of the cost for other research methods, while providing an excellent measurement of member satisfaction. This makes the Member ScoreCard highly attractive as a primary member satisfaction measurement tool as well as for interim satisfaction measurements between more elaborate surveys.
